We had the pleasure of spending one night at Fingal and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was incredibly warm and the staff made us feel very well looked after throughout our stay. Our cabin was cosy, beautifully designed and full of thoughtful details. Dinner was exquisite — particularly the scallops starter and the monkfish main, both beautifully presented and full of flavour. The attentiveness of the team, including the chef who kindly came to check on us, made the evening even more special. A unique and memorable stay on a truly beautiful ship.

An amazing hotel with brilliant and warm staff. Rooms are spacious, smart, luxurious and pleasant. Staff are attentive, warm, and learn your preferences. Food is delicious and fresh, and the views from the rooms and restaurant are amazing. Fingal is a beautiful ship, and her crew are a perfect complement. I cannot recommend staying here or eating here enough.

Rooms are nice, exquisite and very comfortable. I would say this is affordable luxury. All of the staff are very pleasant and polite. They always want to help, no matter what. Not forgetting that breakfast is free and really nice. You can move around the ship for some sight seeing and we also got two free tickets to see the Britannia Yatch (Tickets can be transferred or used at anytime). The location is quiet. It was indeed a floating experience

We stayed here for two nights for my birthday and I could not recommend it more. The classic luxury experience is unbeatable and every staff member goes out of their way to greet and accommodate you. The breakfast is one to note and a true match the hotel’s overall excellence. We shared a meal in the restaurant which was elaborate and full of a range of flavours. They have a wonderful selection of wines, beers and cocktails. The rooms are pristine with the most comfortable bed and a stunning shower. Will definitely be back.

Husband's best ever birthday. Worth every penny. We were treated like royalty, everyone, and I do mean every single member of staff, genuinely makes a massive effort to put all the guests at ease. It was utterly fantastic. The food is amazing. The breakfasts incredibly delicious. The rooms are gorgeous with big comfy beds, especially the pillows. Lots of lovely touches like a different coloured makeup cloth so you don't ruin their white ones, loved that. We had complimentary tickets to see the Royal Yacht Brittania, an absolute must if you're in the area. One of the best experiences we've ever had. Will definitely return.

Amazing. From start to finish. Every member of staff were so welcoming. Jeanette and the 2 young men (sorry I did not get their names) in the restaurant were brilliant. The food was delicious and something special. Compliments to the chef. The map maker cocktail my husband had made his night. I cannot recommend this beautiful hotel enough. The comfiest bed, best rain shower and luxury I have never experienced before. Thank you to everyone at the Fingal hotel for making this such a special experience.

We stayed here for one of our nights in Edinburgh. It is a bit away from the center of the town. So it almost gave us the feeling of two separate vacations. The first down at the docks (the Fingal) and then the last two nights on princess Street. The area seems very quiet in the evenings. We were offered an upgrade to the two-story suite for an additional 175 pounds. It was a nice upgrade. They do a good job integrating the rooms into the space. The rooms are of course, not very roomy, but efficient and clever use of space. The breakfast was included and was very elegant with attentive service . We did have dinner there (not included in the price ) which I will review separately, but it was on par with the Michelin star restaurants that we ate at in London. The state also included tickets to the Royal Britannia, which was a pleasant five minute walk away.

Absolutely amazing stay. Cabin was gorgeous, immaculately clean, with hugely stocked fridge. The staff were all perfect, customer service is 10/10, we couldn’t have been treated better. Breakfast was beautiful, compliments to the chef. Loved being able to go out onto the deck from our cabin. Highly recommend. So easy to get into Edinburgh centre, with tram stop 2 minutes away & trams coming along every 5 minutes. Xx
